The Omen ~ Research

The trailer that you are seeing here is the 2006 remake of the 1976 film 'The Omen', directed and produced by John Moore. As this film is a horror I can guess that the target audience of this movie will be adults over the age of 18, both men and women and as this film is based upon religious prophecies, another idea could be that this film is out to attract curious and open minded people...

The main thing that stands out about this trailer is it's camera work which changes at different points of the trailer and therefore gives an enigma as the audience are left wondering what happened next...The lighting is kept at a minimum to create a dark and uneasy atmosphere of suspense throughout while the editing is done in a clever way in which to tell the basic parts of the story but not to actually tell the whole thing and ruin it...

The elements that I think would be useful to use in our practical pro would be the use of lighting and the way in which the editing is done, because we plan to keep our target audience hooked in order for them to want to view the film...
