As a group we have decided to create a horror/thriller trailer in which the main theme is psychological torment from which the character of our protagonist is born. We are hoping to make a gripping and shocking trailer that easily grabs the viewers attention by using various media conventions. Dark-lighting, under-lighting, parrallel sound and enigma are some of the conventions that our practical production will be consisting of.
So far we have designed our storyboard which we will be filming from and to create this we did individual research on simialar genre movies like 'Saw', 'Jeepers Creepers' and The Omen. By looking at these films we were able to see what would be best in creating an uneasy and tensed atmosphere in our trailer in order to let the target audience find it interesting and want to view our film.
Filming should start very soon...so to all our fans out there 'watch this space'!!!
